Dr. Karlheinz Valtl

Karlheinz Valtl developed the project Mindfulness in Teacher Education and Schools and is the Project Manager.

He has been teaching educational sciences at the University of Vienna since 1993, and he co-developed and is head of the Master's degree program Mindfulness in Education, Counselling and Health Care at the KPH (Kirchliche Pädagogische Hochschule) in Vienna – the first Master’s degree program on mindfulness in a German speaking country. Furthermore, he is External Examiner in the Master’s degree program Studies in Mindfulness at the University of Aberdeen (GB), teaches didactics of higher education at the Technical University of Vienna and is author of numerous publications on the topics of Mindfulness in Education and Sexual Education.

Karlheinz Valtl formerly was director of the renowned Institute for Sexual Pedagogy (isp) in Dortmund, Germany. His degrees include a doctorate in Pedagogy and Psychology (University of Regensburg, Germany), First and Second State Exams as a teacher, and numerous advanced trainings in psychology, spirituality, body work, and pedagogy.
